Art is an integrated part of the preschool child's daily curriculum. As a mode of creative expression, children are encouraged to relate to all aspects of their living and learning to this natural expression. Children might explore and expand lessons in science, history, geography, or math, while learning the basic techniques of drawing, painting printmaking, cutting and pasting, clay modeling, and other three-dimensional forms. Art is multi-part, involving the making of art, the looking at art, understanding its place in culture over time, and making judgments about its quality. Exhibitions of the children's creative work are shared with our school community.
As an after school program, parents may choose to enroll their children into the professional preschool dance program, Kids Love to Dance. This program provides an excellent opportunity for children to move their dancing feet.
